Enabling background OTA updates for iOS | Bose Home Speaker 300

To enable background updates:

Enabling background updates ensures that your headphones, Bluetooth speakers, and frames receive all the latest updates, even if you close or minimize the Bose app.

If you don’t enable this feature, updates will only install when the app is open and in full-screen mode.


  1. Open the Bose app .
  2. Tap the Account Settings icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Under the Firmware Updates section, select Headphones, Speakers & Frames.
  4. Toggle the switch to enable Background Updates.
