Charging your headphones | Bose QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen)
To charge the battery
- Connect the small end of the USB cable into the USB-C port on the right earcup.
- Connect the other end into a USB power source such as a computer or wall charger. The headphones begin charging, and the status light blinks white for 10 seconds. When the headphones are fully charged, the status light glows solid white.
Charging time
Allow up to 3 hours to fully charge the headphones. A full charge powers the headphones for up to 24 hours.Battery level
When the headphone battery is low, you hear the following tone: To visually check the battery, see the status light located on the right earcup.- Solid White - Full charge
- Solid Amber - Low to medium charge.
Plugging in overnight will not overcharge the battery
Lithium batteries have a built-in auto-off feature when a full charge is reached to prevent the battery from being overcharged. Even while still plugged in, the battery level will have to drop below a certain point to trigger the charging again.
