Setting up Voice4Video | Bose Smart Soundbar 700

During the initial set up, you can continue with the process to configure Alexa to change channels on a cable or satellite box, and change the TV input as necessary.

Once linked to your Bose account, Alexa can be configured to control a cable or satellite connected to your TV. Follow the app instructions to provide the TV input the cable/satellite box is connected to, your postal code and TV service provider.

If you want to configure Alexa to control other devices after the initial set up, tap the Settings icon icon, select the Alexa Voice Assistant, tap on Devices, select Set Up a TV, then follow the app instructions.

Here are the screens you'll see during setup:
screen 1. get startedscreen 2. set up input switchingscreen 3. select TV input the cable or satellite box is connected to
screen 4. selection confirmedscreen 5. name the device connected to that TV inputscreen 6. enter your postal code
screen 7. select your cable TV or satellite TV providerscreen 8. set up successfulscreen 9. continue with the remainder of the set up process.

Additional Voice4Video details

  • The Soundbar Universal Remote is not required to use Voice4Video
  • This feature is not a new Alexa skill; It is a capability of the existing "Bose Not for Soundtouch" skill
  • If the soundbar is not connected to the TV using an HDMI cable, channel changing voice commands can still be used as long as the cable or satellite box is the active source
