Which ToneMatch mixer are you connecting?

ToneMatch T1

Connect a ToneMatch T1 mixer to your system.

Connecting power

Your L1 system can power the T1 mixer using a ToneMatch cable. Alternatively, you can use a ToneMatch power supply, which is available as an accessory, to power the T1 mixer.

Connecting audio

Using a single L1 system

  1. Connect your audio sources (instruments or microphones) to the inputs on the ToneMatch mixer
  2. Connect an audio cable from the Master Output on the mixer to an available input on your system.
    Tip: If connecting to channels 1 or 2 on the L1 system, set the ToneMatch selector for that channel to OFF.

Using two L1 systems in dual-mono

  1. Connect your audio sources (instruments or microphones) to the inputs on the ToneMatch mixer
  2. Connect an audio cable from the Master Output on the mixer to an available input on your system.
    Tip: If connecting to channels 1 or 2 on the L1 system, set the ToneMatch selector for that channel to OFF.
  3. Connect an XLR from LINE OUT port on the first L1 system to an input on the second L1 system.
    Tip: If connecting to channels 1 or 2 on the second system, set the ToneMatch selector for that channel to OFF.
ToneMatch T4S

Connect a ToneMatch T4S mixer to your system.

Connecting to one L1 system

  1. Connect your audio sources (instruments or microphones) to the inputs on the ToneMatch mixer
  2. Connect a ToneMatch cable from the ToneMatch L port on the mixer to the ToneMatch port on your L1 system
  3. Pan each channel on the mixer all the way left.

Connecting to two L1 system:s in dual-mono

  1. Connect your audio sources (instruments or microphones) to the inputs on the ToneMatch mixer
  2. Connect a ToneMatch cable from the ToneMatch L port on the mixer to the ToneMatch port on your L1 system
  3. Pan each channel on the mixer all the way left
  4. Connect an XLR from LINE OUT port on the first L1 system to an input on the second L1 system.
    Tip: If connecting to channels 1 or 2 on the second system, set the ToneMatch selector for that channel to OFF.

Connecting to two L1 systems in stereo

  1. Connect your audio sources (instruments or microphones) to the inputs on the ToneMatch mixer
  2. Connect a ToneMatch cable from the ToneMatch L port on the mixer to the ToneMatch port on left-side L1 system
  3. Connect a ToneMatch cable from the ToneMatch R port on the mixer to the ToneMatch port on right-side L1 system.
ToneMatch T8S

Connect a ToneMatch T8S mixer to your system.

Connecting to one L1 system

  1. Connect your audio sources (instruments or microphones) to the inputs on the ToneMatch mixer
  2. Connect a ToneMatch cable from the ToneMatch port on the mixer to the ToneMatch port on your L1 system
  3. Pan each channel on the mixer all the way left.
    Tip: Since this is a mono setup, only left channel audio is sent to your L1 system.

Connecting to two L1 systems in dual-mono

  1. Connect your audio sources (instruments or microphones) to the inputs on the ToneMatch mixer
  2. Connect a ToneMatch cable from the ToneMatch port on the mixer to the ToneMatch port on your L1 system
  3. Pan each channel on the mixer all the way left.
    Tip: Since this is a mono setup, only left channel audio is sent to your L1 system.
  4. Connect an XLR from LINE OUT port on the first L1 system to an input on the second L1 system.
    Tip: If connecting to channels 1 or 2 on the second system, set the ToneMatch selector for that channel to OFF.

Connecting to two systems in stereo

  1. Connect your audio sources (instruments or microphones) to the inputs on the ToneMatch mixer
  2. Connect the T8S power supply from the Power port of the to a power outlet
  3. Connect an XLR cable from the Main Out R port of the mixer to the left-side L1 system
    Tip: If connecting to channels 1 or 2 on the second system, set the ToneMatch selector for that channel to OFF
  4. Connect an XLR cable from the Main Out L port of the mixer to the right-side L1 system.
    Tip: If connecting to channels 1 or 2 on the second system, set the ToneMatch selector for that channel to OFF.
