Product will not turn on | Bose TV Speaker
Reset the TV Speaker.
Unplug the power cords for the speaker and optional bass module, wait 30 seconds, and plug them firmly into a power outlet. A two-note ascending confirmation tone will play to indicate a successful connection to power, and the two LEDs on the front of the speaker will illuminate briefly.
Did the speaker indicate it was connected to power?
Yes
Be sure the front of the speaker is not blocked and is not in direct sunlight.
If the remote sensor on the speaker is in a very bright area or is blocked by an object, the interference will affect the ability of the speaker to receive commands from its IR remote control. Remove any obstructions in front of the speaker and if it is in excessive light, try reducing it.
Replace the battery in the remote control.
The battery may not have sufficient power for the remote control to operate properly.
Use a coin to remove the battery cover on the back of the remote control. Replace the battery with a new CR2032 (or DL2032) battery. Place the battery with the positive (+) side facing out of the battery compartment, then reattach the battery cover and turn it clockwise to lock it in place.
Keep new and used batteries out of reach of children.
If the TV Speaker is connected to the TV with an HDMI cable, try enabling HDMI-CEC.
When using an HDMI connection between two devices, Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) functionality allows the devices to communicate and send control commands between them. Enabling this feature on your TV will allow its remote control – or possibly a remote control of another device connected to the TV with an HDMI cable – to change the volume level of your Bose TV Speaker.
CEC implementation and capabilities vary among different brands, which can cause various control issues. Depending on the brand, HDMI-CEC functionality may be labelled differently in the settings menu of the TV. For more info, see Names used by different brands for CEC.
If the remote control of another device is a universal remote control, try programming it to control the Bose speaker.
If your TV, cable box, or satellite box is operated by a universal remote control, refer to its instructions to determine if it can be programmed to operate a Bose product. Try all of the Bose codes listed in the universal remote control instruction booklet. If no Bose codes are listed or no code could be found to operate the system then the universal remote is incompatible.
Bose has made the necessary IR control information available to universal remote control manufacturers in order for them to incorporate the ability to control our systems. Due to the fact that manufacturers' implementation of our IR control information is different for each universal remote, we are not able to provide a code to enter into the universal remote. For example, one manufacturer can assign our IR control information to code 2345 for their remote while another manufacturer can assign the same IR control info to code 6789. Bose is not provided with any codes from universal remote manufacturers that use our IR control information.

Check the connections at both ends of the power cord.
Be sure the power connections are secure at the power outlet and to the back of the TV Speaker. When facing the front of the speaker, the power cord is the left-most connection into the back of the speaker.
Be sure the power cord is connected to a working power outlet.
If the outlet is controlled by a wall switch, be sure the switch is on. You can also verify if the outlet works by connecting another electronic device, such as a lamp. If connected to a power strip (or surge protector), try bypassing the power strip and plug the power cord directly to a wall outlet.
